SO . . . what do you do now????
1. Go on-line to the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio's web site and fill out the volunteer application . . .

In the purple box to the right on the main page you will see a link for NEW LEADERS. Click this link!
Once you have completed the Volunteer Application you must complete the background check form. This is located just below the Volunteer Application Link. Here is a short cut just in case BACKGROUND CHECK FORM once you click on this link you have to read a page of wording on what the background check does. Once you are done reading click "CONTINUE" bottom right corner of page. Once you finish reading the second page click CONTINUE. You will come to a page asking for the "PASSWORD" this was located on the first page of reading - just incase you missed it - the password is . . . d0t4pwn
You must put references on your application - please let those individuals know Girl Scouts will be contacting them. The longer it takes your references to get back to the Girl Scouts the longer it will take to get you started.
You will get notified by e-mail once you pass your background check.
While your background check is commencing you can go on-line and complete your New Leader Training.
New Leader Page - at the bottom of the page you will see a training box. (ORANGE) Click on

From the Training page you MUST take FUNdamentals and Position Training - this is the training for the level you will be Leading, Daisy, Brownie, Juniors, etc.
FUNDamentals goes over the basics of Girl Scouting - the process and links for the FUNdamentals is the same for the Age level training.

When you go to ANY of these pages - you may take the class in classroom form. HOWEVER, if you want to take the training on-line click on the HOME STUDY

Click OPTION 2 - A - You can pull the PDF up - review the materials
OPTION 2 - B. - click on this to take the actual test - once you complete the test you will be notified in a day or two if you pass or failed. NO WORRIES if you FAIL you CAN take it AGAIN. However, the PDF contains all the answers.
OPTION 2 - C. - click on this to complete the evaluation for - if you want.
YOU PASSED your background check now what do you do.

You will be contacted by Girl Scouts with a list of girls that attended the same GS recruiting event as you and your daughter - You will contact the girls/parents letting them know when, where and what time you will be having your GS meetings.
There are GS Volunteers to help you with games, meeting ideas, fun activities etc.
Many of which can be found right here on our site.
If you click on the BROWNIE link (same for all level links) you will find a lot of very helpful information.
